Bircher recipe

This is a fantastic way to start your day and will keep you going until (almost) lunchtime. You do need to be organised, as it needs to be made the night before. I tend to make a batch and keep it in glass several air-tight jars in the fridge; they last a few days. I have given measurements as a guide, but I don’t really measure anything, I do it by eye and adjust it to how big a batch I want to make. I often use almond milk instead of the apple juice and it tastes just as good – use the same amount.

  1. Thanks for that Andrea. I would have to pass on the pumpkin seed as they give me awful stomach ache. The rest of the ingredients would be OK. I look forward to next week’s recipe.
