What we’re buying from… Hush

We love looking and feeling good, and part of that comes from wearing clothes that flatter your figure, while still feeling comfy. You’d think fashion retailers would’ve cottoned on by now that this is the ultimate style nirvana for most women, but unfortunately it seems pretty difficult to find this winning combo. This is where Hush come in.

Set up in 2003 by Mandy Watkins at her kitchen table, she started to design clothes that she wanted to wear – clothes that were stylish, but not a slave to trends, clothes that were comfortable and chic. Sixteen years later, the brand is going from strength to strength but if you’ve yet to discover Hush, here are some of their pieces that we’re salivating over in the TGIOF office at the moment.

Everything with pockets
Why don’t all clothes come with pockets? Men get pockets on everything they buy but for some reason, they seem to get missed off for us women. Thankfully Hush knows the value of a good pocket – whether it’s so you can use it to carry stuff or to just look cool. We particularly love the pineapple shirt dress with pockets – so chic, so fun, so summery!

Cute slogan tees
Hush were doing slogan tees before they became a thing! What we love about their selection is the bright colours and positive slogans. They’re perfect for chilling at weekend or holidays. We love to wear our Good Times Ahead tee with a pleated midi skirt and trainers for a laid-back look.

Nine to five and beyond dresses
We love it when we stumble across super hard-working dresses. You know the ones we mean? You can wear them to work with heels and a blazer, throw on your trainers for the weekend or team with flip flops for the holidays. Pretty much all dresses at Hush tick these boxes and yes, you can find cheaper elsewhere, but these ones won’t date and will give you plenty of wear for your money.

Luxe loungewear
Hush began as a nightwear and loungewear site so it’s no surprise that this a strong point for the brand. Their joggers are comfy, yet smart enough to wear outside (and not just slob around the house in), while the bright yellow hoodie is great for the British summer and it’s unpredictable weather!

Classic bags with a twist
We all want that bag. The one that goes with everything, is a classic but also has a unique twist. Hush definitely has their share of bags just like that. From round shoppers to cute cross body bags that you will literally wear with everything, they aren’t necessarily cheap, but they’re so wearable that you won’t mind shelling out that little big extra.
